Thank you to all who gave to HOPE Literacy on North Texas Giving Day.
A portion of our donations was given in honor of the memory of Raouf Ghattas, former Pastor and Missionary to the Arabic-speaking world. Dr. Raouf passed away last November 25, 2015. After leaving a career as a nuclear engineer, he and his wife Carol served for 25 years as evangelists and church planters.

HOPE Literacy, Inc.
Helps Other People Excel in life by sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ through English Language instruction: establishing, equipping, operating, supporting, and resourcing church and community literacy programs.
English literacy and language education empowers people to live freer, more successful lives.
Each week we minister to about 500 refugees, immigrants and Americans.
We teach them how to speak, read, write and understand English and American culture.
We help them to obtain their GED and to become American Citizens. How do we do this? We have 10 HOPE Programs in Tarrant and Dallas County. We support 160 volunteer teachers and workers in these programs, who are building authentic relationships and sharing the love of Christ in a practical way. We sponsor a Dallas/Fort Worth network of programs, LAMP, that gives our teachers and workers in-service training. We challenge our programs to constantly improve their teaching and ministry. We work to begin more programs, train more teachers and teach more students. Our trainers have trained 1000s of teachers who use their skills not only in our programs, but in other D/FW, state, national and international programs.
